I think I picked this up from Fairly Crass, but, Ima start early.

Here are my New Year's Demands.

1) Nickelback, Buckcherry, Hinder, and all bands that sound like them -- break up and stop making music. You are wasting a valuable natural resource -- bandwidth. Stop. Now.

2) Capital Punishment. Stop. Now. There is no reason. It is not a deterrent, it is not a punishment. Abolish the death penalty.

3) Hollywood -- make a decent sci-fi movie. There have been six. Forbidden Planet, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Alien, 2001: A Space Odyssey and Contact. Blade Runner was excellent, but was more of a re-imagining of film noir than sci-fi. Don't make me adapt and direct Dune in 20 or so parts.

4) Humanity -- stop bitching about shit that doesn't matter.

This is a partial list. More will probably come.
