In case it wasn't abundantly clear in all of my previous posts (which are archived), I am a big ol' nerd. It's no secret, really. I just want to make sure that we're all on the same page.

I saw "Revenge of The Sith" today. First impression? I liked it more than "The Empire Strikes Back". Bold words, but I'll stand by them for now.

This is the story that we've been waiting for for 28 years. This is the one where we see where Darth Vader came from. This is the one that, so help me, moved me to tears.

Yup. Tears were shed by me. Not only am I a nerd, but I am also a pussy. Seeing Anakin fall... seeing how far he fell... damn.

This was the first of the prequels that I could find no fault in. "The Phantom Menace" had terrible, terrible dialogue. The only person who should make up fictional slang is Anthony Burgess.

"Attack of the Clones" was good, but I wanted to see the romance develop between Anakin and Padme. Those scenes were filmed, but were deleted. I wanted to see them anyway.

With "Revenge of The Sith"... I'm not even entirely sure that George Lucas directed it. Someone must have taught him how to work with actors, because everything worked.

Now, I would have liked more Kashyyyk (the Wookie homeworld), I would have liked more of Palpatine's purging (not only the Jedi, but non-human races), and I wouldn't have objected to seeing Han Solo during his career as an Imperial Navy officer.

Some plot holes between I-III and IV-VI were filled, but there is much more story to be told.

I heart "Star Wars". I cried. I am a nerd.

Go and see the new movie. You will forgive "Wizard!" and Jar-Jar Binks.

Dad -- Boba Fett is not in this one. He would only be like 10 years old. And there is a difference between Boba and Jango Fett, even though you don't want there to be. No bounty hunters at all in this one, Fett family or otherwise.
