My new hobby (of sorts) -- picking music to purchase based on band names.
Strangely, I don't think I've been disappointed. My first foray into this was when I bought The Boy with the Arab Strap by Belle and Sebastian. Turns out that they're one of my favorite bands now. Other music I've picked up based on their names: -- The Decline of British Sea Power by British Sea Power -- Louden Up Now by !!! OK -- the examples aren't plentiful. Mostly, I've been playing catch-up with music, since I was stuck in Missouri for a few years and missed out on all sorts of stuff. And, I'm realizing that I like more than just rawk and pawp. (Oooo -- that's a good word! Pawp!) I like dance music, even though I hate dancing (actually, I don't hate dancing -- I just don't dance unless I mean it. Yay, issues!). I have no groove thing to shake, but, I do like the idea that there's music out there that I would like to shake said thing to, if I grew one and chose to do so. --- Speaking of dancepop -- WTF?
