Hi.
I'm Grant. I'm 26 years old. And I still buy punk albums. I bought the new Rancid. I bought Lars Fredericksen and The Bastards. And, just to prove what a "bandwagon jumpa" I am, I, nearly a decade after first hearing them, finally bought Operation Ivy. That's right. The band that wrote the song that gave me the title to this here blog. Knowledge I know things are getting tougher when you can't get the top off the bottom of the barrel. Wide-open road of my future now -- it's looking fuckin' narrow. All I know is that I don't know. All I know is that I don't know nuthin'. We got taught to decide. Just like as if I'm not gonna change my mind. All I know is that I don't know. All I know is that I don't know nuthin'. "Whatcha gonna do with yourself, boy? Better make up your mind. Whatcha gonna do with yourself? You're running out of time!" This time I've got it all figured out. All I know is that I don't know. All I know is that I don't know nuthin'. And that's fine. Boy, I tell ya, if that song was all that Tim Armstrong had done, he could have retired with the Gold, the Belt, and the Heisman. One of the greatest songs ever written, IMHO. Lyrics-wise, far better than my favorite song of all time, "I Don't Like Mondays" by The Boomtown Rats. I realize that punk is a young man's game, but < fightclub > I'm not ready to get married. I'm a 26 year old boy. < /fightclub > I'm also fully cognizant of the fact that I look like a damned poser. But, trust me -- my heart is straight outta '76. I only look like a dork.
