OK, I'm back. Haven't posted lately, but, it's not for lack of stuff to talk about. Actually, it's exactly the opposite of that, but the same thing. That makes no sense.
Anyway, to start off with, I am no longer employed by KNIM. Station got bought, and I didn't get re-hired. So it goes. I'm working more at McDonald's, but not as much as I'd like to. I'm reading more. Just finished 'Salem's Lot, and am more than halfway through The Memory of Earth by Orson Scott Card. Next up is A Scanner Darkly by P. K. Dick. Lordy, do I hate downtime. Has anyone else been de-hired from a place? I know what I want to do, but don't know if such a job exists, and, if it does, I have no idea where to start looking. If I'm at a radio station, I'd like to do production, not DJ stuff. Ideally, however, I'd like to work at a recording studio... well, recording stuff. I don't know all the terminology, but I've got a good ear, and can intuit things. Any suggestions? Comments by: YACCS |
