Tried updating the layout of the page. Let's see if it works.
Ya know, in light of what has happened, I really have nothing new to bring to the table. Bad shit went down. Bad shit is going to continue to go down. And, people are starting to get ugly with each other. Not what I wanted to happen. I try my best to be a good person. I really do. I could shout from the rooftops "Hey! Don't y'all be picking on Arabs and Muslims! Bin Laden has violated many rules of a jihad, and, besides, he doesn't have the authority to declare a jihad in the first place!" This would probably get me shot and/or mocked. Misunderstood, to say the least. Instead, what I'm doing is this: I don't forward inflamitory/derogatory emails. Got a picture of bin Laden fucking some sort of animal today. *poof!* Deleted. That's what I do. I don't forward that stuff, because it doesn't help things, and it seems to make light of the situation by dehumanizing a person who is quite dangerous. Is bin Laden misguided? Without a doubt. Is he a bad person? Well, he killed lots and lots of people, so, yeah. HOWEVER... It doesn't solve anything to make silly, amateurish dirty pictures of an enemy. Calling the Japanese zips, slants, etc. during WWII didn't solve the problem. All name-calling does is whip everyone up into a frenzy, and that's when mistakes happen. That's when innocent people die. That's when you have a "jihad", rather than a jihad. Then again, I'm not a Muslim... Comments by: YACCS |
