I'm fairly certain that I hate Ayn Rand. Tried reading The Fountainhead, made it thru the first bit, and it dawned on me that I HATE EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THE BOOK! Rand doesn't so much write dialogue, she writes GRAND PRONOUNCEMENTS. She doesn't so much create characters, she makes VESSELS OF GRAND PRONOUNCEMENTS. And her characters are people that are so GRAND that it is impossible to relate to them in any way, shape or form. Objectivism -- feh. That's right. Feh. I have said 'feh' to one of the philosophies that has emerged in the 20th Century.
